Started
in 1994 with 100 physicians and 2 facilities, Ark-La-Tex Health Network
(ALT) now includes approximately 325 physicians and 20 facilities with
common goals. The flagship hospital of ALT is CHRISTUS St. Michael Health
System, which has grown to be the largest provider of acute care services
in the area.
ALT
is a PHO – Physician Hospital Organization.
ALT offers a wide range of services designed to assist our members to
provide quality, efficient healthcare services in a cost-efficient manner.
These services include:
• Contracting with physicians, hospitals, ancillary facilities and payers.
• Provider Relations Services to facilitate payer problem resolution
• Delegated credentialing of member providers to participate in payer plans
• Credentials verification organization (CVO) services• Contracting with various payers or insurance companies eliminating the need for physicians to complete an application/reapplication for every plan in which he/she want to participate.
• Physician credentialing - Credentials Verification Organization services that enable physicians to complete one application/reapplication to apply for medical staff membership with CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System, CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital, Northeast Texas Surgery Center and Ark-La-Tex Health Network.
• Continuing educational opportunities for the physician's office staff by providing monthly in-services to address a variety of topics identified by the ALT Provider Office Steering Committee.
• Resolution of issues/concerns regarding payers, fees and reimbursement.• Local certification and education programs for provider office staff.
• Medical Office Networking Association (MONA) for provider office managers, staff members, and PMI Certified Professionals.
